This research has as its general problem What is the contribution of the oil extractive activity of the Loreto region to the economy of the Loreto region, period 2010 - 2018?, its objectives : (a) Determine the contribution of the resources generated by the oil extractive activity of the Loreto region in the public expenditure of the regional government of Loreto, period 2010 – 2018; b) Determine the contribution of the resources generated by the oil extractive activity of the Loreto region in the public expenditure of the municipalities of the Loreto region, period 2010 – 2018; and, c) Determine the contribution of the resources generated by the oil extractive activity of the Loreto region in the gross domestic product of the Loreto region, period 2010 – 2018. The research study is cross-cutting, descriptive and correlal; because the data is raised and analyzed over a given period of time, and describes the relationship of the study variables. Regarding oil activity, the results show that globally imports are increasing and the main importing country is the United States, followed by Brazil, which is a large producer and also a large consumer. Regarding world exports, the main exporting countries are Colombia and Venezuela, which account for almost 50%. While in South America, the country that imported the most was Ecuador At the South American level the country with the highest export is Brazil.
