The study was developed in an existing aguajal in the territory of the “Capironal” community - under Amazonas, in the district of San Pablo, province of Mariscal Ramón Castilla, Loreto region. The objective was to diagnose the productive potential of the fruits of an aguajal tree existing in the territory of the “Capironal” community in the lower Amazon. The research was with a quantitative, descriptive and basic level approach. Biometric data of all Aguaje palm individuals in the community were recorded, where 14,899 individuals were evaluated in 50 ha, with a diameter class from 30 cm to 60 cm in diameter at chest height; 2 classes of vegetative state were identified, the “adult” with 12,459 individuals and “juvenile” with 2,440 individuals; The types of sex were recorded: “male” with 7,651; “female” with 4,828 and indefinite with 2,440. Likewise, three types of phytosanitary status were classified: “good” represented by 13,654; “regular” with 608; and “bad” 637. Likewise, individuals had between 4 and 12 clusters; with “large” fruits with 3,281 individuals, “medium” with 1,322 individuals and “small” with 225 individuals. The market still does not have a clear classification mechanism for the commercialization of fruits, but the aguajes called the “Large Shambo” type are the ones with the highest value in the market, and the lowest value is the so-called “small yellow” type.
