A study was carried out with the main objective of investigating the connection between work stress and interpersonal relationships in nursing technicians working in two hospitals in Iquitos in 2023. The research adopted a quantitative approach based on the hypothetical-deductive method. The sample consisted of 308 nursing technicians from the aforementioned hospital centers. To collect data, the observation survey technique was used, using two Likert-type questionnaires. These instruments, the Maslasch Work Stress Scale and the Interpersonal Relations Questionnaire by Cisneros Castillo (2011), were validated and showed reliability in the population of Lima. The study proposed a general hypothesis and three specific hypotheses, all aimed at exploring the relationship between different dimensions of work stress (Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Personal Fulfillment) and interpersonal relationships. The research design was non-experimental and correlational. All the proposed hypotheses were supported by significant and positive correlations between work stress and problematic interpersonal relationships in the nursing technician staff, as statistically demonstrated.
