Abstract: Introducción: La Diabetes Mellitus es un problema de salud pública
mundial. En las Américas, en el 2019, la diabetes fue la sexta causa
principal de muerte, con un estimado de 244,084 muertes causadas
directamente por la diabetes.
Objetivo: Determinar el estilo de vida en los pacientes diabéticos del
C.S. Bellavista Nanay, 2020.
Metodología: El estudio fue cuantitativo, de diseño descriptivo y
transversal; la muestra fue de 52 pacientes. Se aplicó 2 instrumentos:
La primera una encuesta sobre factores sociodemográficos y la
segunda un cuestionario IMEVID para determinar los estilos de vida.
Resultados: Los pacientes diabéticos fueron 59.6% de sexo masculino,
69.2% presentaron edades entre 30 a 59 años, el 46.2% con grado de
instrucción secundaria y el 42.3% son casados; tuvieron un tiempo de
enfermedad de 1 a 5 años, y el 51.9% presentaron estilos de vida no
saludables. Las dimensiones que presentaron estilos de vida no
saludables fueron: 51.9% en la dimensión hábitos nutricionales, 67.3%
en la dimensión actividad física y 53.8% en la dimensión hábitos
nocivos.
Conclusión: Los pacientes diabéticos atendidos en el C.S. Bellavista
Nanay, tienen un estilo de vida no saludable.

In the Americas, in 2019, diabetes was the sixth leading cause of death, with an estimated 244,084 deaths directly caused by diabetes. Objective: To determine the lifestyle in diabetic patients with C.S. Bellavista Nanay, 2020. Methodology: The study was quantitative, with a descriptive and crosssectional design; the sample consisted of 52 patients. 2 instruments were applied: the first a survey on socio-demographic factors and the second an IMEVID questionnaire to determine lifestyles. Results: The diabetic patients were 59.6% male, 69.2% were aged between 30 to 59 years, 46.2% with a secondary education level and 42.3% were married; They had a time of illness of 1 to 5 years, and 51.9% presented unhealthy lifestyles. The dimensions that presented unhealthy lifestyles were: 51.9% in the nutritional habits dimension, 67.3% in the physical activity dimension and 53.8% in the harmful habits dimension. Conclusion: Diabetic patients cared for at C.S. Bellavista Nanay, have an unhealthy lifestyle.
