The research focuses on the use of the performing arts as an effective means for environmental education in children students between 4 and 8 years of age in the city of Iquitos. The research is qualitative and has a quasi-experimental research design. The study included the application of surveys and observation, surveys designed specifically for these age groups, in order to evaluate their perception and knowledge before and after getting involved in the workshop, in which the performing arts were used as a tool to examine the effects of their previous knowledge and what they learned; observation, to see their attitudes and behaviors regarding environmental issues. The results obtained from the surveys, of 100% reveal that 57% of our respondents are from the initial level and 43% belong to the primary level, within the average of 0 to 20 the entrance evaluation shows us that the lowest score was 0. 7, 16 as the highest, having the average 13.57, the exit evaluation presents us with 11 as a low score, the highest score 18 and the average 16 (see results No. 44); this shows that the incorporation of the arts is a valuable tool for environmental education in children, since it stimulates significant learning in their understanding, encourages empathy towards the natural environment and motivates pro-environmental action. This study contributes to the development of innovative approaches in education, highlights the importance of creativity and artistic expression in the formation of citizens committed to environmental protection, achieving greater sensitivity to environmental issues, promoting more responsible attitudes and behaviors. At the end, the children who attended the workshop demonstrated greater knowledge, a greater connection with nature and a greater environmental interest after their participation in this workshop. In addition, improvements were observed in the children's creative expression and communication. This study provides valuable insight, highlights the importance of using the performing arts as an effective tool to engage children in environmental education from an early age, highlighting their capacity, fostering a deeper understanding and greater commitment to the conservation of the natural environment in the city of Iquitos.
