This research project raises the central problem: What is the design proposal for a drinking water system in the community of Santo Tomas, district of San Pablo, ¿Mariscal Ramón Castilla, Loreto 2022? with the objective being to design an adequate proposal. for the drinking water system in the community of Santo Tomas, district of San Pablo, Mariscal Ramón Castilla, Loreto 2022. The theoretical framework includes the application of the National Public Investment System to drinking water projects in rural areas, it also describes Methods to measure the degree of deterioration in drinking water pipes and their application according to the R.M. N° 019-2014-VIVIENDA of the Ministry of Housing Construction and Sanitation. The level of research is descriptive and explanatory, the type of research is non-experimental, the population is represented by 500 inhabitants, the sample is 81 people. An evaluation was carried out on the drinking water system of the town of Santo Tomas, consisting of a reservoir, catchment (Amazon River), distribution network, household connections, treatment plant (storage, filtration, sedimentation, adduction), the entire system works 60% supplying approximately 55 homes. For the evaluation of the drinking water system, verification of breaks in the pipes and home connections was carried out using a technical file, surveys were also carried out among the population in order to measure the degree of satisfaction of access to this service. The results showed that Cr > Cref, for which reason the rehabilitation plan was prepared with a budget of S/. 441,528.19 with a physical execution period of 60 calendar days.
