Diseño arquitectónico del teatro metropolitano en la ciudad de Iquitos como edificio integrado al espacio público - 2022

Abstract

Iquitos, desde sus orígenes, ha venido siendo una ciudad llena de cultura y tradición, estas manifestaciones culturales se expresan de manera natural y espontánea usualmente en la calle, plazas, parques, etc.; es decir, tienen un carácter más efímero, pero ¿A qué se debe esto? ¿Qué hace falta para que vaya más allá de lo momentáneo? ¿Qué se debe definir para que la escena urbana pase al plano de lo construido? El presente proyecto de tesis busca, en primer lugar, entender las dinámicas sociales del ciudadano Iquiteño, y a partir de allí, se plantea estrategias para que estas dinámicas; que se dan en el espacio urbano; pasen al espacio construido sin perder la naturalidad que las caracteriza. Observando e identificando las dinámicas con potencial para desarrollarse y a su vez transformar el espacio, se elaboró una propuesta arquitectónica que evidencia que un edificio teatral tiene y debe tener la capacidad de estimular y sostener las dinámicas sociales y culturales de una ciudad, incorporando dentro las tradiciones locales y logrando que a través de una arquitectura permeable, adaptable y flexible se rompa esta disonancia entre el espacio concebido y el espacio vivido. El teatro por sí mismo se convierte en un instrumento cívico, capaz de expandir las libertades humanas y el enriquecimiento de la escena urbana.

Iquitos, since its origins, has been a city full of culture and tradition, these cultural manifestations are expressed in a natural and spontaneous way, usually in the street, squares, parks, etc.; that is, they have a more ephemeral character, but why is this? What is needed for it to go beyond the momentary? What must be defined so that the urban scene passes to the level of the built? This thesis project seeks firstly to understand the social dynamics of the Iquiteño citizen and from there strategies are proposed so that these dynamics; that occur in the urban space; pass into the built space without losing the naturalness that characterizes them. Observing and identifying the dynamics with the potential to develop and in turn transform the space, an architectural approach was developed that shows that a theatrical building has and should have the capacity to stimulate and sustain the social and cultural dynamics of a city, incorporating traditions within local and achieving that through a permeable, adaptable and flexible architecture this dissonance between the conceived space and the lived space is broken; the Theater itself becomes a civic instrument, capable of expanding human freedoms and enriching the urban scene.
