The objective of the investigation was to determine the prevalence of partial edentulism according to the kennedy classification in inmates of the men's nationalPenitentiary lnstitute- lquitos 2022. Methodology and method: Descriptive type and cross- sectional design, the sample consisted of 284 patients confined in the Men' National Penitentiary lnstitute- lquitos2022. Results: The prevalence of partial Edentulous according to the Kennedy classification was 62%. Of the total number of partial edentulous inmates accordingto the Kennedy classification, 12.5% were in the upper jaw, 50.6% in the lower jaw and 36.9% presented Edentulism in both arches, the upper and lower jaw presenteda higher prevalence of Kennedy class 111 partial edentlismo IN 58% and 40.9% of inmates respectively, the age group from 19 to 30 year presented a prevalence of partial edentulism of 44,4% of inmates, the age group 31 to 59 years presented a prevalence of partial 67.5% and the age group of 60 tears and over presented a prevalence of 83.9%, in inmates with primary education the prevalence of edentulismaccordind to Kennedy's classification was 66.7% in inmates with secondary education it was 63% and in inmates with higher education it was 46%. The provinceof Maynas presented higher education it was 46.4%. the province of Maynas presented higher prevalence of partial edentulousness in 62.5% de inmates and 25% in inmates from other region.
