Introduction:The increasing participation in sports activities brings numerous benefits, but it also poses challenges, with musculoskeletal injuries in young athletes being a relevant concern. This study addresses the consequences of such injuries, defined as health issues related to the musculoskeletal system. Objectives:The main objective of the research was to analyze the relationship between postural alterations of the spine and musculoskeletal injuries of the lower limbs in soccer players from the district league in Iquitos, category 2007. The aim was to identify associated factors and propose preventive recommendations. Results:The results revealed that 63.49% of players with postural alterations suffered at least one musculoskeletal injury in the last 12 months. The association between spinal alterations and musculoskeletal injuries of the lower limbs was statistically significant (p=0.049). Factors such as alcohol consumption (p<0.001), obesity (p<0.001), playing position (p=0.018), and flat feet (p<0.001) showed significant associations with musculoskeletal injuries. Conclusions: This study highlights the importance of postural awareness and the need to address risk factors such as alcohol consumption, obesity, and individual characteristics like flat feet to prevent musculoskeletal injuries in soccer players. The need for personalized interventions and educational programs to promote healthy lifestyles in the sports community is emphasized.
