Acute respiratory infections are the leading cause of morbidity from infectious diseases in the world. IRAs are a complex group of conditions of different etiology and severity, which have a duration less than 14 days. Objective To determine the prevalence of acute respiratory infection in children Under 5 years old Methodology Study is quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and Retrospective Results of ARF pathologies that prevail in younger children 5 years old are acute bronchitis and the common cold, both with the presence of 33.9% and 33.1%, Rhino pharyngitis Acute otitis media and Obstruction Syndrome Lower incidence bronchial disease. Regarding age,98 cases are under one-year-old to only 3, in children of 4 years Of which 51.0%, of children under 1 years of age get the common cold and acute bronchitis with 27.6%. In sex, the masculine gender prevails, wit 42.5% and gender female, 35.7% get common cold, 24.1% acute bronchitis and pharyngitis 23.2% The months that sicken the most are the months of January and February with 23.0% and 10.9%, the use of antibiotics that were used was 66.5% in case of ARI, we conclude that knowing the prevalence of ARI in children under 5 years it is important to take prevention and control actions in these age groups, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE MONTHS OF HIGHER PREVALENC
