Abstract: El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la prevalencia de patologías bucales en pacientes diabéticos atendidos
en el Hospital María Auxiliadora - Lima. Julio a Noviembre del 2014; evaluando a 202 pacientes; el 70.3%
presentan halitosis, el 69.3% con compromiso de lengua. El 60.4% con xerostomía, su prevalencia se
relacionó con la mayor edad del paciente (p=0.000). El 68.8% con Indice de CPO bajo su prevalencia fue a
mayor edad del paciente (p=0.000); sexo masculino (p=0.005); y bajo nivel de instrucción (p=0.001). El 79.2%
con indice de higiene oral regular; su prevalencia se relacionó con la mayor edad (p=0.001) y no controlados
(p=0.036).EI 87.1% con enfermedad periodontal, prevaleció a una mayor edad (p=0.000); mayor tiempo de
enfermedad (p=0.020); y no controlados (p=0.000). Los pacientes diabéticos presenta patología bucales
que se relacionan con la edad, tiempo de enfermedad y control dé su diabetes
The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of oral diseases in diabetic patients cared for in lhe Hospital Maria Auxiliadora - Lima. July to November 2014; evaluating 202 patients; the 70.3% have halitosis, the 69.3% commitment to language.
