This study proposes the application of graph theory to the commercial activities of Grupo Santa Elena's eCommerce operations. The research objective is to design a graph- oriented database schema, which serves as a foundational component for its implementation in a Graph Database Management System, such as Neo4j. The proposed schema has been validated through business questions, or use cases, such as: Which products tend to be purchased together by customers? In contrast to relational database schemas, the key advantage of a graph-based model is its scalability and adaptability to address new business queries without disrupting existing operations. Graph theory, formalized within the field of mathematics, is centered on two fundamental components: nodes and edges. Nodes represent entities of interest, such as customers or products, while edges represent the relationships or associations between these nodes. Graph applications span various disciplines, economic sectors, and institutions, from NASA to museums. This research reviews successful case studies of graph theory implementations, including knowledge graphs in object-oriented database platforms. A knowledge graph enhances the structure by incorporating semantics and ontology, where semantics provide contextual meaning, and ontology defines the graph's architecture.
