The research work was quantitative, descriptive and correlational, whose objective was to determine the relationship between the determining factors related to the level of stress in nurses of the emergency service in a Hospital of Trujillo, 2023, with two theorists: Karasek's Demand-Control model for the determining factors and Betty Neuman's systems theory for the level of stress. The sample consisted of 30 nurses, who were given 02 instruments, which measured the determinants based on the emotional response to work stress survey and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) Spanish version, to measure stress levels. The results obtained were that the highest percentage of nurses is concentrated in the high level of determinants with 63%. In terms of the dimensions, 63.3% of nurses indicated a high level of factors related to pressure and demand. A 66.7% of nurses indicating a high level of organizational factors and human relations; as well as 63.3% of nurses indicating a high level of environmental factors. The highest percentage of nurses' stress level is concentrated in the medium level; it is concluded that there is a very high relationship between the determinant factors variable and the stress level variable.
