This study analyzes the management of accounts receivable and the impact on the liquidity of a fresh fruit distribution company, year 2023. The research arises from the informality present in the Peruvian market, where 20% of accounts receivable present a high risk of non-collection due to the lack of formalization of contracts with intermediary agents. Using a qualitative approach, the impact of the absence of accounting and administrative procedures, the impact of informality, the impact of the risk of non-collection limited to the management of accounts receivable on the liquidity of the company were evaluated. The results indicate that not having a systematization of the accounting and administrative processes, as well as the lack of legal mechanisms to generate a commercial link with intermediary agents and added to the informality of the sector, these impact negatively on the liquidity of the company. The conclusion is the implementation of simple legal mechanisms, as well as the systematization of accounting and administrative processes and the implementation of the credit and collection area with qualified personnel. This can significantly improve collection, improve liquidity and reduce the rate of bad debt or delinquency of accounts receivable in the company.
