This paper presents the structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete for a five-story multifamily building located in the Comas district, Lima. The structure has been modeled using ETABS software, in compliance with Peruvian technical regulations, specifically the E.030 and E.060 standards. The design considers the main structural elements: columns, walls, beams, and slabs, ensuring the appropriate seismic performance of the building. The seismic analysis includes the calculation of inter-story drifts, base shears, and the dimensioning of seismic joints. Studies were conducted to optimize material strength while keeping the steel reinforcement quantities within the limits set by the regulations, thereby ensuring an efficient and safe design for the building, meeting the ductility and strength requirements. This project aims to provide a reliable structural solution in a high seismic vulnerability area, where self-construction represents a significant safety risk for its inhabitants.
