The objective of the research is to improve the process of importing spare parts in an elevator maintenance company, using Business Process Management, where three main problems have been revealed, these being prolonged delays in the quotation of imports, defective imported spare parts and delays in import shipments. The type of research was applied, descriptive-explanatory level, quantitative approach and pre-experimental design. The population covered all the requirements for imported spare parts within the company, where the study sample was considered census, covering the entire population in the 12 months of the year 2023. The instruments used addressed the observation guide and the sheet register. The results of the study focused on the restructuring of the flow chart, the digitization of tasks in the import process, the optimization of times and the use of indicator formats to achieve improvement, where efficiency was obtained in the import processes. of 96%, whose economic-financial analysis of the project resulted in a NPV of S/.11,802.63, an IRR of 28% and a B/C ratio of 1.33, also through the T-Student statistician it was possible to accept the alternative hypothesis and the rejection of the null one, corroborating the economic and statistical feasibility of the project. Finally concluding the effectiveness of BPM in process improvement.
