The annual demand for plastic products is projected to grow positively worldwide; however, Latin America represents only 4% of the global production, and Peru ranks 63rd out of 67 countries in the competitiveness ranking. The objective of the project is to reduce the internal raw material supply process time by implementing barcode technology in the warehouse of a flexible plastic packaging company, using Lean philosophy, Design Thinking, and the Scrum framework. The eight wastes of Lean philosophy were considered during the analysis of AS-IS processes to identify non-value-added activities. Additionally, the first four phases of Design Thinking (empathize, define, ideate, and prototype) were applied to identify warehouse user needs, diagnose the problem, and pre-validate a prototype of the solution to be developed. This solution was broken down into features and requirements, which were translated into user stories in a backlog, then executed in iterations (sprints) and following the ceremonies outlined in the Scrum framework, ensuring the solution meets user needs. In conclusion, the intervention reduced the supply time by 43 minutes, which represents 24.49% of the target time reduction against indicators set at 32.58%. This suggests effective optimization, especially in activities that were eliminated or semi-automated, marking significant progress towards efficiency goals.
