This research highlights the consequences of a deficient work planning culture in Peruvian Mype companies. In the context of the limited resources of these companies, intentions to improve their management processes are identified; however, instead of improving their performance, cost, time and quality indicators, they minimize them, leading to low profitability or failure of their projects. In view of this, the use of a methodological guide is proposed, making use of four tools of the Lean philosophy: Value Stream Mapping, 5Whys, Ishikawa and Kanban; in addition to being evaluated on the basis of four indicators. The first indicator was performance (hh/week), which improved from a value of 0.77 to 1.4; the second refers to execution time, which showed an average increase from 1.19 days to 2.5 days. The third is the number of activities executed, which before the proposal had an effectiveness of 65%, while with the guide it was 89%. Lastly, the cost indicator, which went from -0.28% to +0.35% in the valuations during the analysis time. The proposal offers a detailed step-by-step implementation plan, ideal for any construction company starting out in the construction sector, as well as for consolidated companies seeking to optimize the planning of their projects in an effective and simple manner according to their needs
