The document presents a model that integrates RCM tools to increase the availability of heavy equipment used in a plant dedicated to the production of limestone. In chapter 1, the review and study of the bibliography related to the mining sector in Peru is carried out, followed by the theoretical concepts of RCM and its tools, types of maintenance, indicators, applicable technical standards and success stories where the implementation of the RCM. Chapter 2 presents the description of the company (history, clients, mission, vision, process map, organization chart, workflow chart) and after that the diagnosis of the problem of low availability of equipment in stone production. limestone, where priority causes, evidence and their impact are identified. Chapter 3 presents a sectorized model by phases based on the continuous improvement cycle PHVA (Plan-Do-Act-Verify) for the implementation of RCM, where the techniques of: AMEF, Weibull statistical diagram, DAP, sheet RCM decision process and ends with the presentation of the KPI files. Chapter 4 includes the validation of the proposal through computer simulation in risk-free scenarios (AS IS versus TO BE scenario), for this the Arena software will be used and the result of the simulation will serve as input for the financial analysis that will allow demonstrate the feasibility of the proposal. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations of the investigation are presented.
