The present work was developed in a textile company, which is dedicated to the production of fabric rolls located in the most populated district of Lima, San Juan de Lurigancho. The problem to be solved is to improve the efficiency (OEE) of the machines, since the expected production is not met due to delays, unplanned stops and defects in the final products. This is where the development of Lean tools that effectively help the engineering problem is sought. The tools selected were TPM, SMED and work standardization. As a result of this implementation, it was possible to obtain a reduction in unplanned shutdowns, from 34 breakdowns to 30 breakdowns. Likewise, delays and changeover times were also reduced from 116.7 hrs. to 82 hrs. and finally, the percentage of defective rolls was reduced from 9.60% to 3.03%. This resulted in an improvement in efficiency from 67.3% initially recorded to approximately 79.34%.
