The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between the virtual-box software and the learning of client-server operating systems in the students of the School of Information Technology (ETI) of the SISE Higher Technological Institute, at the headquarters Santa Beatriz., for which a basic research was carried out, with a scientific-descriptive level of research with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design, with a representative sample of 25 students, to whom a couple of questionnaires were applied ( one for each variable) as a data collection instrument, which were treated through descriptive and inferential statistics, using the SPSS statistical program. Among the results, it was found that 60% of the students indicated that the VirtualBox software is a powerful virtualization tool, while 64% indicated that it is necessary to know the minimum requirements for its installation, while 60% indicated that they agree. agree that virtual machines offer high availability from moving from one server to another; Finally, 72% have the capacity to install a client-server operating system on a physical device. Conclusion: based on Spearman's rho result = 0.679, there is a moderate positive correlation, that is, the use of VirtualBox software in academics influences the learning of client-server operating systems, which validates the research hypothesis of the present thesis.
