This research aimed to determine the relationship between management skills and the performance of public officials in the municipality of Sañayca - Aymaraes - Apurímac The approach is quantitative, the type of research is applied and the design is non- experimental, correlational. The population was counted by 100 in pre-2015 management and the sampled by 25 municipal workers who have played some role within the municipality. Two questionnaires were applied, one of managerial skills and another of performance of public officials. The analysis of the data was carried out using the descriptive and inferential statistics and the Rho Sperman statistic was used to determine the correlation between the variables and check the hypotheses. It is concluded at the global level that there is evidence that there is a significant relationship between the management skills and the performance of public officials, being the result Rho de Spearman = 0,717. At the level of the dimensions skills human managerial skills and conceptual skills, if there is a meaningful relationship with the performance of the public official, except with the technical skills where there is no evidence relationship.
