The objective of this research work was carried out on the Application of the Polya Method and its influence on the resolution of mathematical problems in 2nd grade students of the I.E. N° 5076 Nuestra Señora de la Mercedes-Márquez-Callao, 2020, which has as its main problem: How does the application of the Polya Method influence the resolution of mathematical problems in 2nd grade students? and the objective was formulated to: Determine the influence of the application of the Polya Method in solving mathematical problems in 2nd grade students. Experimental research, quasi-experimental design, with 60 students as a sample, this being a non-probabilistic sampling; To measure the dependent variable mathematical problem solving, an evaluation was formulated. In the results at a descriptive level it was found that, in the pretest of mathematical problem solving, it is shown that in the experimental group 50% (15) are at the beginning and in the control group 56.7% (17) are in process, already in the post-test of mathematical problem solving, it is shown that 53.3% (16) of the experimental group and 63.3% (19) of the control group are in the beginning. Its main conclusion was: The application of the Polya Method significantly influences the resolution of mathematical problems in 2nd grade students of the I.E. N° 5076 Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, Márquez, Callao, 2020 (z = -5.475 p < 0.01 in favor of the experimental group, average range GE = 42.30 > GC = 18.70).
