The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between perception about primary health care (PHC) and job expectations in nursing students from a private university in North Lima, 2019. It is of quantitative approach, descriptive-correlational design. The sampling used is non-probabilistic or intentional and the data was collected from 85 students, the technique applied is the survey and two instruments that were built considering the variables, dimensions and their respective indicators, in that sense we have Questionnaire 1 to measure the perception about primary health care; questionnaire 2 to measure job expectations. In both instruments, the Likert scale with 5 options was used (totally disagree, disagree, indifferent, agree, totally agree). Prior to the application in the study sample, a validation process was carried out through expert judgment, as well as a Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Analysis> 0.7 that allows us to conclude that the research instruments are reliable and, therefore, applicable. To determine the existence of a relationship or dependence between the two variables and to contrast the general hypothesis, the Chi-square test was applied, obtaining a significance level = 0.008, rejecting the null hypothesis and determining that there is a significant relationship between perception and job expectations.
