The purpose of this study was to determine the application of Linear Equations and Attitude Towards the Mathematics Area in the Private Educational Institution Benjamín Franklin, Lima - 2015. The application of the equations consists of a sequence that goes from understanding the problem to evaluation of the procedures used in solving a mathematical problem. Understand by achievement levels the descriptions of the knowledge and skills that students are expected to demonstrate in Mathematics (Reading Comprehension). Regarding the methodology, the data were obtained through the application of qualified practices (test) recording the results in an observation guide, an instrument that was evaluated by the criteria of experts confirming its validity in terms of its construction and content. This information was then processed using the SPSS statistical program in a population of 105 students. The results obtained in this study were very satisfactory for both students and teachers at the level of achievement of Academic Performance in Mathematics. The results obtained therefore point to the fact that Linear Equations and Attitude Towards the Mathematics Area in problem solving significantly improves academic performance in Mathematics at the Benjamín Franklin Private Educational Institution, Lima, 2015.
