This thesis reports research on the relationship between job motivation and involvement in the work of teachers at three educational institutions in the Comas district. The stratified random sample consisted of 122 teachers. The research had a quantitative approach, was of applied type, with correlational method, and transactional design. The collection of information was processed with the application of the Multidimensional Scale of Occupational Motivation and the Occupational Involvement Questionnaire. The content validity and reliability properties of these instruments were corroborated by the Aiken Validity coefficient and the Cronbach coefficient respectively. The collected data were analyzed with the stan scale to establish the qualitative levels of the variables studied, and with Pearson's time-to-product correlation parametric test (r ) for the evaluation of the general hypothesis and specific hypotheses. The results showed the existence of a high positive relationship between the motivation of work and the involvement in the work of the teachers of the educational institutions studied, as well as between the autonomous motivation dimension of the job motivation and the involvement in the work of the participating teachers; in contrast, the built-in motivation dimensions and external motivation showed moderate positive relationships with work involvement. Finally, it was noted that the demotion of work had a moderate inverse relationship with the involvement in the work of teachers of the educational institutions studied. The findings were statistically significant at a probability level of p.0,05.
