The objective of this research work was to explore the opinion of students of the Faculty of Sciences of the National University of Education about teaching performance and remote learning in relation to the effects generated by the Covid-19 pandemic on the teaching-learning dynamics during the period of global distance education. This study adopted a quantitative approach and was exploratory in nature. The data were collected through a questionnaire that requested data on both variables, which was applied online to the students. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Among the main results, it was observed that the Covid-19 pandemic contributed both positively and negatively to the teaching-learning process of students. Regarding the positive contributions, the possibility of flexible schedules and study routine stands out, while the lack of interaction with the teachers and students of the course and the absence of an environment conducive to study were the aspects considered negative regarding teaching. In general, it is highlighted that students rated the remote learning process as good and average, considering that they had difficulties adapting, which made the process challenging and, at the same time, enriching; regarding teacher performance, the perception was mostly average. Finally, it is proven that there is a relationship between both variables in a moderate way.
