A correlational descriptive study has been proposed with the objective of establishing the relationship that exists between pedagogical leadership and good teaching performance according to the perception of directors and teachers of Mariano Melgar Valdivieso de Qitaracza educational institution. The population and sample consisted of all the teachers and directors of this educational institution. To measure the pedagogical leadership variable, a questionnaire composed of 20 items was designed and applied, 14 items corresponding to the dimension, management of the conditions for the improvement of learning, and the other 6 items corresponding to the dimension, orientation of the pedagogical processes to improve learning. To measure the good teaching performance variable, a questionnaire which consist of 38 items was designed and applied, 9 items corresponding to the dimension of preparation for student learning, 17 items corresponding to the dimension of teaching for student learning, 6 items correspondence to the dimension of participation in the school articulated to the community and the 6 remaining items correspondence to the dimension development of professionalism and identity. The inferential analysis carried out, using the Pearson and Spearman correlation statistic, found a high and very high positive and significant correlation between the variables pedagogical leadership and good teaching performance.
