The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between functional dyslalia and the development of oral language, in 5-year-old children, who attend the educational institution N°017 Cuna Jardín, in the marginal urban area El Agustino, 2019 The type of research is substantive or basic, the design is descriptive-correlational. The population was 180 5-year-old children, belonging to six sections of said institution. We worked with a non-probabilistic sample of 30 children who attend this school and who present functional dyslalia, to whom the Verbal Articulation Test was applied, whose author is María Melgar de González, which was adapted by Rosario Suarez (2020). , with a high index of validity and reliability. Likewise, the revised Navarra Oral Language Test (PLON-R) proposed by Aguinaga et al. (1988), adapted in Lima by Alejandro Dioses Chocano, with a high index of validity and reliability. Its study dimensions were: phonological, semantic, syntactic and pragmatic. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the functional dyslalia variables and the development of oral language (Spearman's Rho = -0.692) and this correlation is negative and high, meaning that by increasing their oral language their functional dyslalia would decrease or vice versa.
