This investigation proposes to know the feasibility of a project for the installation of a plant for the production of baby food based on pumpkin, apple and cañihua, in which its technical, economic and social viability will be justified. The work responds to a growing market trend to seek options other than breast milk as a food supplement for the nutrition of their children. The project focuses on the market of people with children between 6 and 36 months of age and who, in turn, belong to socioeconomic level B and C in Lima Metropolitana. With this, the demand for the project was established for the five years of the work's useful life, with the demand for the last year at 124 117,07 kg. On the other hand, the factor ranking method was used to determine the location of the plant obtained as a result at the macro level in Lima and at the micro level in San Juan de Lurigancho in the Campoy area. In addition, an optimum plant size of 124 117,07 kg, established by the size-market ratio, was calculated. Also, in the engineering development of the project, a production capacity of 129 967 kg was obtained, defined by the packaging process; a space of 320 m2 was also considered to be able to cover the established spaces. The company will be a closed corporation and will be made up of 16 production workers and 12 administrative and plant employees; in addition, there will be external personnel in areas such as security, maintenance and finance. Similarly, when developing the budgets, results and evaluations of the project in the five years of life, it was possible to prove its economic viability with an NPV of S/ 158 174,00 and an IRR of 18%, under a COK of 14,54%. Likewise, the financial evaluation results in an NPV of S/ 259 704,00 and an IRR of 27%, recovering the investment within the useful life of the project. Finally, the social viability of the project could be demonstrated by an added value of S/ 4 892 797,74, using a social discount rate of 11,51%.
