This project is focused on an MSE in the confectionery sector whose main problem is delays in the delivery of orders to the warehouse, this is caused by two reasons, high reprocessing times and machinery downtime. In this sense, the importance of addressing this problem is that it has an economic impact of 9.84% of the company's annual profits. For the reasons mentioned, we propose an improvement that involves the use of Lean Manufacturing (5S, standardized work and TPM - autonomous maintenance). Through a pilot test, the following results were obtained: The implementation of the 5S methodology as a preliminary step for standardized work and for TPM (autonomous) was fundamental. It was possible to reduce rework times from 32.85% to 14.26% and the availability of the machine increased from 74.52% to 87.31%, with these tools and the 5S methodology the main indicator. On time delivery, it exceeded the expected goal with a value of 95.80%. In this way, it was validated that the methods used are feasible for MSEs that seek to increase their competitiveness, likewise, this work is a reference for future research.
