Objective: determine the risk of type 2 diabetes in people who go to the triage area of a health facility in Los Olivos, 2023. Materials and methods: the approach was quantitative and the design was descriptive/cross-sectional. The sample was 113 patients. The collection technique used was the survey and the FINDRISC Test was used, which is composed of 8 statements. Results: at risk of diabetes, low level prevailed with 45.1% (n=51), followed by slightly low with 23% (n=26), moderate with 15% (n=17), high with 12.4%. (n=14) and very high with 4.4% (n=5). In dimensions, in age those who were within the range of 45-54 years of age prevailed with 61.9% (n=70), in BMI those who were within the range of 25 to 30 Kg/m2 with 62.8 % (n=71), in waist circumference are within the range of 94 to 102 cm in men or 80 to 88 cm in women with 55.8% (n=63) in physical activity those who do not do physical activity with 51.3% (n=58); in fruit/vegetable consumption those who consume fruits or vegetables every day with 50.4% (n=57), in blood pressure medication those who do not consume blood pressure medications with 83.2% (n=94 ), in glucose values those who would not have ever presented high glucose values with 76.1% (n=86) and in a history of DM2 those who did not present 50.4% (n=57). Conclusions: regarding the risk of diabetes, the low level prevailed.
