This research work seeks to explore the construction of the cultural identity of children in an Intercultural Bilingual Educational Institution (EIB) in practice, since in recent years it has been sought to promote EIB in por country by carrying out different activities, promulgating norms, guidelines, accompaniments and guides. And one of the most relevant objectives of the EIB is to train students with a strengthened cultural identity. But these efforts are not yect sufficiente or pertinent, and many of the guidelines and regulations issued in favor of EIB have only remained theoretical. Thus, several institutions recognized as EIB do not put the guidelines into practice, due to the lack of experiences and didactic strategies to incorporate the knowledge of the community and link it with the knowledge of the western world. That said, the following investigation will show how IBE is beig worked on in an initial level, the strategies that are being used to build the cultural identity of boys and girls, and how the incorporation of the wise women of the community influences the construction of a cultural identity of students.
