In the development of the present study, we will see beforehand the justification and objectives, determining the general objective as the improvement of the processes in the management of preventive maintenance of the fleet of mining trucks Komatsu 930E in a Mining Company. The main problem that we will see in this study is the Inadequate Strategy for the realization of Preventive Maintenance, which was concluded after carrying out a survey of the 52 workers of the Truck Repair Workshop, with a 37% incidence, obtaining the main criticality; After having identified the most critical problem, we proceed to analyze it in a specific and quantifiable manner, in order to determine a proposal for improvement. In the analysis of Preventive Maintenance, we have determined that in the last two years: 2017, 2018, there was a 78% Corrective Maintenance, of 100% of maintenance time, in the Komatsu 930E truck fleet, which is very alarming. After having determined the percentage of time in Corrective Maintenance, we have to analyze the Preventive Maintenance, since an inadequate application of it could be the reason for so many corrective measures; so we have determined that in the last two years: 2017, 2018, the highest incidence in Preventive Maintenance is that which is performed in the 500HR, so from this inference, we will establish our improvement proposal, the which consists of increasing the time in Preventive Maintenance / 500HR, in order to reduce the Corrective Maintenance Time. The time invested in Preventive Maintenance will reflect a decrease in Corrective Maintenance time.
