La modelización matemática en la investigación en educación matemática : reflexiones y datos bibliométricos

Abstract

El presente artículo está estructurado en dos partes principales. En la primera, se hace una breve reflexión sobre el papel de la modelización matemática en el ámbito de la investigación en didáctica de la matemática. En ese sentido, se fundamenta la importancia de dicha teoría para los avances de la asignatura y, específicamente, para el trabajo de todo educador matemático. Por consiguiente, en la segunda parte se presenta una serie de datos bibliométricos sobre la presencia de la modelización matemática, los cuales fueron compilados luego de un análisis exhaustivo de cuatro fuentes primarias. Por último, luego de someter a un análisis cualitativo a dichas fuentes secundarias, se señalan ciertas tendencias dentro de la comunidad científica, tomando en cuenta también las interpretaciones de dicha teoría por zona geográfica.

This article is structured in two main parts. In the first, a brief reflection is made on the role of mathematical modeling in the field of research in mathematics didactics. In this sense, the importance of this theory for the progress of the subject and, specifically, for the work of all mathematics educators is based. Therefore, the second part presents a series of bibliometric data on the presence of mathematical modeling, which were compiled after an exhaustive analysis of four primary sources. Finally, after subjecting these secondary sources to a qualitative analysis, certain trends are pointed out within the scientific community, also taking into account the interpretations of said theory by geographical area.
