The objective of this research is to improve the capacity of the Overland conveyor belt for coarse ore at Compania Minera Antapaccay. An investigation of the pre-experimental type will be used, with data collection through observation and measurement of the computer system of the conveyor belt. The proposals are technical improvements of the drive motors and an increase in the speed of the belts. The first involves increasing the power of the engines in both the Sacrifice Belt and the Overland Belt; and the second deals with increasing the speed of the Overland Belt. The risks of implementing the second option are mostly related to the greater probability of physical damage to the belt or its components that are in motion, in addition to reducing its useful life. Finally, it is proposed to invest in inflatable rubber covers, supply of the linings, cable protection system, pulley cover, programming of the Siemens Programmable Logic Controller and its start-up, among others.
