Mindfulness has been gaining interest in the last years in different areas such as neuroscience, medicine, psychology and education among others, because its potential effect in self-regulatory process and positives impacts in general wellbeing. The aim of this study was to translate and study the psychometric properties of the Child and Adolescent Mindfulness Measure – CAMM (Greco, Baer y Smith, 2011). The CAMM was administered to a sample of 2120 students in Lima Metropolitana, boys and girls aged between 10 and 17 years old (M = 13.50, DE = 1.92). After an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis a single component showed good fit with an explained variance of 74.0 %. The CAMM showed an adequate internal consistency (Cronbach Alpha: .76). The new Spanish version of the CAMM with 8 items showed adequate psychometric properties, so it can be used with children and adolescents from Lima Metropolitana.
