This thesis focuses on developing a proposal to implement a planning model that contributes to improving processes in a company specializing in centrifugal pump maintenance services in the mines of Peru, aiming to have a positive impact on the company's profitability. To execute this proposal, data was collected through surveys, interviews, and document review, allowing for a diagnosis of the current situation of the company. Then, using the Pareto diagram, fundamental problems were identified, related to the improper distribution of functions and responsibilities in the services department, personnel performing tasks without proper training, and the incorrect structure of the services area. These problems result in labor overload and deficiencies in services, leading to negative economic and labor consequences, with an estimated loss of US$ 71,956.53 in 2022. To address these issues, a proposal was designed involving the restructuring of the services area, hiring additional personnel, developing a job profile manual, and optimizing existing processes. The projected total cost of the proposal during the first year of implementation is US$ 48,598.67. Finally, an economic study was conducted on the implementation of the planning model proposal. The results yielded positive economic indicators, with a Value Present Net (VPN) of S/ 27,536.16, an Internal Rate of Return (IIR) of 84.6%, and a B/C ratio of 1.48. These findings conclude that implementing this proposal is feasible and profitable.
