So, eleven women volunteered to be interviewed, primarily they are from the provinces and landed in Lima for different motivations. The instrument used to collect the information has been the semi structured interview, which permitted a deep and direct dialogue. The results obtained were analyzed for three categories: individual empowerment, relational empowerment and the collective empowerment. These categories were composed by paid work and volunteer work. Also, the analysis looked at the distribution of responsibilities, the management of free time, the organization of free time, their relationship with themselves, their relationship with their partner and children, their relationship with the group and their social participation. Also, the concepts of empowerment and/or an empowered woman and the motivation that they had to enter into the House of Women. Finally, it is noted that the active participation of the eleven women generated positive changes in their lives, as they learned to value themselves and felt capable of making decisions for themselves, their family and their community.
