Abstract: El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer las experiencias subjetivas de duelo migratorio en migrantes venezolanos (as) residentes en la ciudad de Lima Metropolitana. Se utilizó una metodología cualitativa y un diseño fenomenológico, a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a participantes voluntarios, siete mujeres y cinco varones. En los resultados se hallaron trece temáticas. Migración forzada: sentirse obligada a migrar de su país. Trayectorias de vida en Lima: experiencias de cambio y adaptación. “Empezar de cero”. Añorar las manifestaciones culturales: evocar vivencias en familia, entorno, cultura. Redes de apoyo: elementos de soporte a familias en condiciones vulnerables. Añorar y perder los vínculos afectivos familiares: recordar los vínculos vividos en familia. Sentimientos de ambivalencia: vivencia de sentimientos contradictorios. Barreras en la comunicación: límites para entender o ser comprendido. Desafío- “Tratar de sobrevivir”: aprender a sobrevivir en la ciudad. Añorar y perder los vínculos amicales: deseo volver a reencontrarse. Diferencia en el estatus social-económico; Pérdidas materiales y, Situaciones hostiles y xenofóbicas: acciones discriminatorias ejercidas hacia la persona migrante. Los hallazgos evidencian diversas experiencias relacionadas al duelo migratorio; estando presente el duelo simple, complejo y ambiguo, siendo estos dos últimos los de mayor presencia.
This research aimed to understand the subjective experiences of migratory grief in Venezuelan migrants residing in Metropolitan Lima. A qualitative methodology and a phenomenological design were employed, and a semi-structured interview guide was administered to twelve volunteer participants, consisting of seven women and five men. Thirteen themes were found in the results. Forced migration: feeling forced to migrate from your country. Life trajectories in Lima: experiences of change and adaptation. Work challenges: it is starting from nothing. Longing for cultural manifestations: evoking experiences in family, environment, culture. Support networks: elements of support for families in vulnerable conditions. Longing for and losing family bonds: remembering the bonds experienced as a family. Feelings of ambivalence: experiencing contradictory feelings. Communication barriers: limits to understanding or being understood. Challenge- "Try to survive": learn how to survive in the city. Longing for and losing the bonds of friendship: I want to meet again. Social-economic status difference; material losses and, hostile and xenophobic situations: discriminatory actions exercised towards migrants. The findings show diverse experiences related to migratory grief; simple, complex grief, and ambiguous, the last two being most prevalent.
