The company JB Señalizaciones is responsible for producing and marketing security signs in vinyl, photoluminescent, PVC, acrylic, fiberglass and galvanized sheet. This investigation had as general objective to propose an improvement of the production process to reduce the orders not attended of the company. When making the diagnosis of the production process, a high bottleneck time was found because it is almost twice the second process with higher time, lack of raw materials and inputs due to failure to make timely purchases and poor production planning, which results in the high level of unmet orders resulting in a 15,6 per cent break rate. With the aforementioned problems, the reduction of unproductive times was proposed, based on the Systematic layout planning (SLP) methodology and the Guerchet methodology. Time standardization was also proposed, based on the methodology indicated by the ILO. The other improvement proposals are aggregate planning of the production and planning of materials, based on the MRP methodology. With these improvements, unmet orders were reduced by 8,9 per cent. When making the cash flow of the improvement proposals, economic indicators such as the NPV of 5,223.16 soles, an IRR of 26.3%, a B/C of 1.14 and a recovery rate of the investment were found. 2 years, 11 months and 4 days.
