Objective: Determine the relationship between knowledge and practice on exclusive breastfeeding in mothers of children from 0 to 6 months of age in a Health Center in Northern Lima. Materials and methods: The study is quantitative and the design is descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional. Made up of a population of 193 mothers. The sample used was 130 participants. The survey was used as a technique. Results: Regarding the results obtained, there is no relationship between the variables knowledge and practice about breastfeeding because the p-value is greater than 0.05. However, it is observed that 4.5% who have regular knowledge about breastfeeding have poor practice, while 95.5% with regular knowledge have good practice. According to the results, knowledge about breastfeeding in mothers from 0 to 6 months marks a higher percentage of regular knowledge (85.3%), with a difference between good knowledge (13.8%) and bad knowledge (0. 77%), this explains that they are multiparous mothers, at least 50% participate in their controls during pregnancy, the level of practice carried out by mothers of children from 0 to 5 months marking the highest percentage of good (96.1%) and poor (3.8%), which indicates that these mothers mostly have 2 children, the greater the number of children, the better the practice. Conclusions: According to the study carried out, no significant relationship was found between the knowledge and practice of exclusive breastfeeding in mothers from 0 to 6 months in the Tahuantinsuyo Bajo maternal center.
