Objective: to determine the occupational risks for nursing professionals in the surgical center of Sergio E. Bernales Hospital in 2023. Materials and Methods: the study's approach is quantitative, and the methodological design is non-experimental, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The population will consist of 38 nurses from the surgical center service of Sergio E. Bernales Hospital. A questionnaire will be used for data collection, which includes 26 items distributed across five dimensions: biological risks (5 items), physical risks (5 items), chemical risks (3 items), ergonomic risks (6 items), and psychosocial risks (7 items). Each response is scored from 1 to 4 points. The ordinal value has the following risk level scale: High risk level: 80-104 points, and Low risk level: 79 points or fewer. Results: the results obtained will be presented in statistical tables and graphs. Conclusions: the research will provide objective and updated information about occupational risks for nursing professionals in the surgical center service.
