Objective: to evaluate the synergistic analgesic effect of Mentha × piperita L and Zingiber officinale Roscoe oleoresin in albino mice. Materials and methods: this study utilized a quantitative experimental approach. The process involved extracting the oleoresin using a Soxhlet extractor, formulating an ointment with excipients and Mentha × piperita L, Zingiber officinale Roscoe, and topically administering different doses to groups of mice. The analgesic effect was measured using the hot plate method to evaluate the response time. A multifactorial - unifactorial ANOVA analysis was conducted to establish relationships between variables and determine the efficacy of oleoresin in modulating analgesia. Results: detailed analysis of the effects of Peppermint and Kion on the Time-Response variable revealed that, individually, both factors showed an increase in response time as their concentrations were increased. However, when combined, an antagonistic effect was observed, where mixing concentrations resulted in a decrease in response time. Conclusion: peppermint demonstrated a greater analgesic impact at higher concentrations compared to Kion. The combination of Peppermint and Kion did not show a synergistic improvement in the analgesic effect.
