The objective of this research was to determine the frequency of agenesis of the third molars in patients between 11 and 18 years of age treated at the Ceradent Radiological Center in 2019.The present investigation according to the design is Quantitative non-experimental, descriptive type, cross-sectional, retrospective and observational; the sample consisted of 262 digital panoramic radiographs taken at the Ceradent Radiological Center. The techniques used were: the observational technique was through the use of the Real Scan 2.0 program; Likewise, a data collection sheet was used; this instrument was validated by the judgment of experts. The results obtained from the total of the samples (262) it was found that the frequency of agenesis is 26.7%. In this sense, it was identified that the highest percentage that presented agenesis of the third molars according to sex, was for the female sex with 14.1% in relation to the male sex, which was 12.6%. Furthermore, agenesis of the third molars is more frequent for the upper arch (23.3%) in relation to the lower arch (9.9%). And according to the hemiarcade, the highest percentage agenesis of the third molars was presented in the upper left hemiarcade with 18.3%, followed by the upper right hemiarcade with 15.3% and later it was in the lower left hemiarcade with 8.4% and finally, the lower right hemiarcade with 7.6%. And according to the number of affected hemiarcade, it was identified that the highest percentage of agenesis of the third molars was presented in a single hemiarcade. It is concluded that third molar agenesis corresponds to 26.7% considered within international parameters; It is more predominant in the female sex (14.1%), it was also observed that it is more frequent in the upper arch (23.3%) and, depending on the number of hemiarcade affected by the presence of agenesis, it occurs in a single hemiarcade.
