ABSTRACT This research work was carried out in the Municipal Camal of Cajamarca, belonging to the province and district of Cajamarca. Where one of the specific objectives is to perform situational analysis of said Camal, for this patient work of observation and interviews were conducted those responsible involved in the process, which allowed the development or construction of the flowcharts of the process of slaughtering according to type of animal, maps route of waste generated, with particular interest in the entry of raw materials and inputs used and output of solid waste materials, effluents and emissions to the environment, in order to see if it has the potential energy to design a system that allows use of organic obtain products derived from these residues. Upon completion of this investigation came to find that generate about 1,620 kg / day. Organic waste which could be used in a lagoon a volume of 256.5 m ^ 3, which after a period of hydraulic retention of 45 days could generate 40.1 m ^ 3, LFG a day which could meet the needs biodigestor thermal and / or electrical if desired the Municipal Camal, that further counting would occur more than 250 m 3 compost which can be used in the improvement of parks and gardens of the Municipality. This highly feasible project complies with the main objective of this research is to produce biogas and sub products which will enhance the productivity of the municipal slaughterhouse without harming the environment, as is currently being done hurting not only the health of their employees if not of its neighbors, plus execution involves technical and operational changes that not only contribute to reducing monthly expenses which amount to S / 8,000 soles approx. in which they are incurred not make efficient and productive use of their organic waste. Also it is given the opportunity to meet indirect consumer market with a product sanitary quality.
