The present work was based on, to formulate and to evaluate nutritional l'.'ations for chickens using flour of Erythrina. as partial substitute of traditional input, and to determine the biological and economic effects of different flour levels of Erythrina in the rations. The work involved the · f lour obtainment and their experimental evaluation in nursing of chickens. The f lour was obtained of the kind E. be:rteroB.Jw Urban, -i.1.nder the follo1,·~1ing procedur·e: crop of leaves, deflower manual, desiccated to the sun and grinding; it being obtained a yield from 20.87% of flour with 7.81% of dampness and 24.08% of total protein. Energy meta.bol izable 1-.+ _,J._ the f lour of Erythrina was determined. in male chickens of 28 age days, being obtained a value from 1,847 Kcal/Kg. The experimental evaluation, was accomplished in 2 stages: phase of beginning; using 130 chicks .·BB of the line ROSS 308, of a day of born and average weight of 44.12 g. Phase of complete; with 60 chickens of the same line, of 28 age and weight days average of 1,074.28 g. It was employed the Complete Design at random (DCA) with 5 treatments of 12 units each one in the phases of beginning and complete. The treatments were: Tl (0% of Erythrina), T2, T3, T4 and T5 with 4, 8, 12 and 16% of Erythrina respectively,·that balanced with other input, gave 22% of PC and j,QOO Kcal/Kg EM fer the stage of beginning ( 28 days) anct·. 18. 5% of PC and 3, 100 Kcal/Kg of EM for the stage of complete (29 days until the sale). The resulte in all the stage of beginning indicate: that the best food consumption CT1 = 2.046); the greater weight profit CTl - 1:120> and the better nutritional conversion ITl = 1.76) was obtained in followed Tl by T3 and T2 respectively; this due to the fact that in T2, T3 treatments, the ration goes making more voluminous and le;:O\S @filpalatable, that limi ts uti lization the best of the food. The results in all the stage of complete indicate: the gr·ea.ter f ood consum:pt ion waEc~ obtained in Tl ( 2. 2413), followed by T3, T4 and T5; the greater weight profit was obtained in T2 (0.840), followed by Tl ( 0.792) and T3 (0. 771). This pr·obably by the grec:tter developrnent of the digeetive system. The better nutritional conver-sion was obtained in T2 (2.66), followed by Tl· and T3. Economically the greater off ered net benefit, followed by T:3 .
