Business Intelligence (BI) is a set of tools that manage information for its optimal procession and be useful and accurate for the best decision making in a company. Business Intelligence tools are characterized by being a set of methods, varied technologies, use of systems and software platforms among others, with the main objective of converting information into specific data to maintain its competitive advantage and make a tangible, intangible and strategic profits. The purpose of the present investigation was to determine the use of Business Intelligence as a method for suppliers’ selection in the import of bowling equipment and accessories for the city of Piura. For this purpose, the Analytical Hierarchical Process was used, as well as document review and surveys; this resulted in the usefulness of business intelligence in the search for information regarding suppliers, market and customers. It was also found that the use of a correct method allows the choice of the best supplier, which reduces the uncertainty at the time of this operation. This advantage increases the interest for the part of the entrepreneurs for the import of bowling equipment and accessories. Finally, two studies were carried out in parallel. An economic - financial study, which projects the indices of profitability for a bowling center with 6 tracks, resulting in a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/.1,782,262.76 and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 313%, which means that the implementation of a bowling center in the city of Piura is a feasible project; and a study of the demand, through surveys to the target public, resulting in a potential demand of 84.2%.
