Concrete with the passage of time has become the main material of construction, having an application in different structures what made it advance technologically, being the most notorious advance the development of self-compacting concrete, that is why the present investigation highlights the importance of using new construction technologies such as self-compacting concrete and at the same time revaluing the waste obtained from other industries such as marble and using them in concrete as a new material capable of improving properties in a fresh and hardened state. The purpose of the research is to determine the appropriate dose of marble powder and superplasticizer that must be added to obtain a self-compacting concrete that is applied in moderately reinforced structures such as columns and concrete plates. The levels of marble powder are 0.50 %, 1.00 %, 1.50 % and 2.00 % with respect to the weight of the fresh concrete, while the levels of superplasticizer are 0.30 %, 0.35 %, 0.40 % and 0.45 % with respect to the weight of the cement. The mixing design was carried out using the ACI 211 method for a self-compacting concrete with an average strength of 350 Kg/cm , the design was made from a dry consistency with a water/cement ratio of 0.43 in weight and a water/fine ratio of 0.40 in weight. 2 Fresh tests were carried out to evaluate the properties such as the capacity and self-compacting capacity of the concrete through the J-ring and Abrams cone, respectively. Tests were also carried out in a hardened state such as the porosity of the concrete under the ASTM C642 standard and the resistance to compression at 28 and 56 days of curing under ASTM C39 standard, where a total of 189 cylindrical test tubes of 0.10 x 0.20 m were tested. The results obtained indicate that as the percentage of superplasticizer and marble powder increases the properties in fresh and hardened state of the self-compacting concrete improve, being that when adding 0.45 % of superplasticizer and 2.00 % of marble powder to the concrete they were reached results in the compressive strength of 438 Kg/cm 2 at 28 days and 519 Kg/cm at 56 days of curing, obtaining an increase of 17% and 30% at 28 and 56 days of curing respectively. In addition to presenting an improvement in its properties, when using marble waste in self-compacting concrete, it reduces its cost per cubic meter by 2 % compared to a concrete added with microsilica.
