The objective of this research work is to make known the relationship that exists between the use of playful strategies and oral expression in the area of English, in high school students of the San Mateo Private Educational Institution, San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, in the year 2021. The study started from the following question: What is the relationship that exists between playful strategies and oral expression in the area of English in 5th year high school students of the San Mateo Private Educational Institution, San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima? As a research hypothesis, it was proposed that playful strategies are significantly related to oral expression in the area of English in 5th year high school students. To achieve the objective and demonstrate the truth or falsity of the hypothesis, a type of correlational research was carried out. The descriptive and quantitative approaches were used as the study method. The data collection instruments were the questionnaire and the exam. To determine whether playful strategies are related to oral expression, the technical support of SPSS version 24 was used, as well as inferential statistics. The conclusion was that playful strategies correlate in a very high positive way with oral expression in 5th grade high school students at the San Mateo Private Educational Institution, San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima, 2021. Therefore, we can affirm that by using different playful strategies, oral expression and active participation in class are clearly improved.
